Russia’s leading pay-TV operator Tricolor saw its B2B customer base grow by 36% in the year to June 30.
In a statement, it says that over half new B2B clients are in the HoReCa segment, which includes cafes, bars, restaurants, hotels, motels and recreation centres.
It also identifies several drivers for its growing B2B base.
Firstly, there was an increase in the number of new HoRCa establishments in the run up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Secondly, there has been a strengthening in the trend to legalise the public broadcasting of content in offices premises and business centres. Thirdly, the presence of top sports channels and the largest Ultra HD package in Russia in Tricolor’s offer.
Commenting on the growth in its B2B business, Ilya Ukhonov, head of sales and customer service on the corporate market and special Tricolor projects, said: “The proposed Tricolor packages include more than 120 TV channels of various subjects in HD and Ultra HD formats, including in foreign languages. We help various institutions to organise the legal public broadcast of content. Our offers are available for any business segments. The attractiveness of the facilities is also enhanced by the non-linear services of Tricolor, with which guests can control the TV broadcast”.
