HBO Latin America has made an improvement in its HBO GO TV everywhere platform to enable temporary content downloads for certain films and TV titles.
The new offline mode will be launched with 300 available titles, including the possibility to download entire seasons. Subscribers will be able to download up to 15 HBO GO titles at any time, on up to three different devices. Each title can be downloaded up to two times, with the feature only available after the free trial period.
Most significantly the offer includes blockbuster hits Game Of Thrones, Big Little Lies and Chernobyl.
Subscribers will have the following content viewing options: up to 30 days after downloading or up to 48 hours after starting to view the program. Users will not be able to view downloaded content if the subscription has expired, or if the content is no longer available on the platform.
“This new HBO GO feature gives our subscribers the convenience and added value of watching HBO’s unique and exclusive content in a whole new way. If the subscriber is on a plane or in an area with limited connectivity, they can now reap the benefit of offline viewing,” explained Dionne Bermudez, vice president of digital distribution and business research at HBO Latin America.
“We are committed to providing our subscribers the best entertainment experience, paired with the best content, so that subscribers can easily enjoy HBO GO wherever, and whenever they prefer.”
